Mel Gibson Selling Costa Rica Jungle Retreat

Hollywood actor and director Mel Gibson is selling his 403-acre jungle retreat in Costa Rica.

The property, called Playa Barrigona, has been listed with Christie’s International Real Estate for $29.75 million.

The property includes three homes on a hilltop with Pacific Ocean views, each of which has a private pool, along with vaulted ceilings, a full kitchen and multiple verandahs.

The largest villa, Casa Guanacaste, includes seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, with the smaller villas each featuring two bedrooms.

The property, which is a short walk away from a white-sand beach, is set on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, is accessible via either of Costa Rica’s two major airports, in San Jose and Liberia.
