Resorts World Bimini has named Patricia Lawrence as its new president, parent company Genting Malaysia Berhad announced.
Lawrence will oversee all operations at the recently-completed resort, including gaming, hotel, transportation, dining and entertainment.
Lawrence will also be responsible for the Genting-owned Hilton Miami Downtown.
“Missy brings her tremendous experience in marketing and operating entertainment destinations around the world to Resorts World Bimini – the Caribbean’s most modern and pristine resort,” said CY Lee, President & Chief Operating Officer, Genting Malaysia Berhad, in a statement. “With over two decades in the hospitality industry, much of it spent carefully creating unique customer experiences for guests, we are extremely confident that Missy will ensure the resort becomes a destination of choice for travelers to the Bahamas and the Caribbean.”
A 23-year veteran of the industry, Lawrence had most recently served as senior vice president of marketing for Resorts World at Sea, working for Genting Hong Kong.
“Genting has built a truly exceptional resort on the island of Bimini. From the new Hilton- branded hotel to the pristine white sand beaches, the property is game-changing for the hospitality industry in the region, and I am extremely proud to be a part of its future success,” Lawrence said.
