A major new luxury destination is coming to the Grenadines.
The long-awaited redevelopment of Canouan Island will launch Oct. 10 with the debut of the 26-suite, six-villa Pink Sands Club, Canouan, a $120 million project that is part of the Leading Hotels of the World.
Set on Godahl Beach, the beach hotel immediately becomes one of the most luxurious hotels in the Eastern Caribbean.
The hotel is also home to a spa and a Jim Fazio-designed 18-hole golf course.
And it’s just a part of the wider transformation of Canouan, which is launching Canouan Estate (the former Canouan Resort), a villa collection that has access to Pink Sands Club hotel services.
Next year, the nearby Tamarind Beach Hotel will be renovated, while the Canouan Jet Port Runway has been expanded to 5,900 feet to provide private jet access to the island.
Indeed, the runway can now accommodate any private jet up to a Boeing 737 or Airbus 319.
“We are thrilled to finally reveal the magnificent Pink Sands Club, Canouan, which we are confident will set a new benchmark for a Caribbean archipelago already synonymous with ultra-exclusive hideaways,” said David Nuenemann, General Manager of Pink Sands Club, Canouan, Canouan Estate, and Tamarind Beach Hotel. “The hotel showcases classic architecture, glamorous interiors and cutting–edge technology; as well as superb leisure and dining facilities unrivaled with any other Caribbean property.”
Culinary offerings include the beach house-style Lagoon Cafe; a Pool Bar and Juliet, an international restaurant.
The hotel is also home to a spa featuring ESPA treatments in nine hillside treatment rooms and two overwater palapas. The latter are a particular standout, as they are only accessible by boat.
