It’s on the largest barrier reef in the Western Hemisphere, with sparklingly clear water and endless beaches.
And Belize is also home to scores of uninhabited islands and cays, some of which make it to the market now and then.
One of them is Moho Caye, known locally as Wild Orchid Caye.
The 8.38-acre island has white-sand beaches and scores of trees just 12 miles off the east coast of Placencia, and nine miles from the Belize Barrier Reef.
The island is ready for just about anything, whether you want to develop a resort or just create your own tropical oasis.
The island includes 2,980 feet of beachfront, about 75 percent of which is white sand.
It’s listed with Belize Sotheby’s International Realty, currently on the block for $4.25 million.
