A great value private island in the Bahamas

tt’s called Bonefish Cay, and this tropical paradise has a story: it’s the most affordable private island in the Bahamas.

That’s because it works out to about $120,000 an acre.

The six acre island lies in the heart of the Middle Bight of Andros in the Bahamas, a renowned bone fishing destination that is home to several popular fishing camps with over 2,000 feet to cast from, including 1,000 feet of sandy beach.

It is just a short boat ride away from either side of Andros, which offers unlimited opportunities for snorkeling, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, hunting, and other activities.

It’s got lush native vegetation, three white sand beaches and the remnants of a cottage and a stone dock built back in the 1930s.

While the island is set miles from crowds, it offers a location is conveniently accessible from the two airports in Andros as well as daily direct flights from Nassau.

It’s listed for $720,000 with HG Christie’s Mark Moyle.
