The 10 Best Jamaica All-Inclusive Resorts

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 29, 2015

Jamaica’s first “year-round” all-inclusive resort, now known as Couples Tower Isle, opened its doors nearly four decades ago. Today, Jamaica continues to raise the bar with a slew of extraordinary all-inclusives that offer everything from catamaran cruises to caviar bars for one up-front price.

What you’ll find on this island is a remarkable array of options, from large resorts like Sandals and Couples to more intimate getaways like The Caves in Negril. But what they all share is the Jamaica All Inclusive experience, a kind of easy, comfortable getaway accented by the island’s signature hospitality personality. Here are some of our favorites on the island, brought to you by our team of on-the-ground reviewers and travel experts.

Jamaica All Inclusive

Couples Tower Isle

This retro-modern 226-unit Ocho Rios resort was Jamaica’s first, and decades later it continues to wow with 218 chic suites and a clothing-optional private island plus perks that include complimentary excursions to nearby Dunn’s River Falls and a catamaran cruise. Now, the resort is even better with its first-in-class Oasis Spa Suites, which offer guests unlimited spa access.

The Caves

Have dinner in a candlelit cave; chill in the Aveda spa; or soak in the cliff’s-edge tub: enjoy these options and more at this attitude-free hotspot in Negril. It isn’t like any other Jamaica all-inclusive; thanks to its Island Outpost pedigree it’s a cool, authentic Jamaican experience.

Jamaica All Inclusive

Couples is among the Jamaica all inclusive leaders.

Couples Swept Away

It’s all about the perfect beach at this stylish 312-suite Negril resort, which features a 10-acre sports complex for workouts and a full-service spa for chill outs. It’s great for active-minded travelers (but it’s great for doing nothing at all, too).

Jamaica All Inclusive

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall

Perks of a stay at this Mo’Bay adults-only resort (on the site of the former Ritz-Carlton) include a VIP airport lounge; golf at one of two nearby courses; exchange privileges at neighboring sister resort Hyatt Zilara, and a catamaran cruise.

Jamaica All Inclusive

Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort & Spa, Ocho Rios, Curio Collection by Hilton

This adults-only retreat minutes from Jamaica’s iconic Dunn’s River Falls has all the bells and whistles, including a massive pool featuring a replica of the famous cascade. It’s the latest Curio property from Hilton, a new brand that focuses on “unique” hotel properties.

Jamaica All Inclusive

Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay

This slick adults-only retreat set on a peninsula with a mile-long private beach offers ample amenities (24-hour room service, nine restaurants and a complimentary mini-bar) as well as concierge-serviced Preferred Club suites.

Jamaica All Inclusive

Sandals Royal Caribbean

Seven pools and eight restaurants are the centerpieces at this legendary resort, making this couples-only Mo’Bay classic a must and one of the top Jamaica All Inclusive hotels. But the true star is the private offshore island (make sure you take a nap in one of the overwater hammocks).

Jamaica All Inclusive

Beaches Negril

Whether you’re traveling solo or with the kids in tow, this all-you-can-everything on Negril’s seven-mile stretch with a water park, butler-serviced suites, and Red Lane spa is sure to please. But it’s easily the best family resort on the island.

Jamaica All Inclusive

Iberostar Rose Hall Suites

One of a trio of Mo’Bay Iberostars, this family-friendly 319-room resort falls between pricier neighbor Grand Rose Hall and the inexpensive Rose Hall Beach, and offers a kids’ club, water park, and large ocean-view infinity pool.

Jamaica All Inclusive

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa

Thirteen bars, 10 restaurants and five pools distinguish this beachfront hotel halfway between Montego Bay and Negril where guests can also take advantage of the amenities at adjoining sister resort, Grand Palladium Jamaica.
