New Morocco Ambassador to Bahamas

Morocco has named its new Ambassador to the Bahamas.

Ambassador-Designate Mohammed Benjilany presented his letters of credence to Governor General Dame Marguerite Pindling in a ceremony last week.

The ceremony was held at Government House in Nassau.

In recent years, Morocco has been steadily deepening its ties with the Caribbean region.

Those efforts have manifested themselves in various ways, from the construction of a hotel in Dominica to support for educational scholarships for Caribbean students.
