GRAND BAHAMA — Nestled in a quiet back corner of the resort’s Manor House, the Grand Lucayan’s Havana Cay cigar bar and lounge offers guests an ideal setting to enjoy an evening cigar or after-dinner drink.

Havana Cay features a built-in humidor stocked with a hand-selected variety of Cuban and Dominican cigars, as well as the hotel’s personal brand “Zapata” stick rolled with Mexican tobacco.

The lounge’s state-of-the-art purification systems proved more than capable of handling the volume of smoke wafting into the old-Havana-dark air during the visit.

Atop the bar is a sampling of fine rum, port, whiskeys, and other liqueurs.

You can watch your favourite team on the lounge’s flatscreen or sink into its comfortable seating as you relax to the live piano music from across the hall.

Open daily 5:30 PM to Midnight, we strongly suggest you fill up, light up, and pull up a rocking chair outside the lounge’s French doors and enjoy expansive views of the Caribbean sunset.

At Caribbean Cigar’s recent visit, we enjoyed the satisfying Montecristo No. 2, a mild but complex smoke with ever-changing flavors.
