Following last year’s release of “Let Me Show You My Islands,” Willy Monfret will soon be releasing the second season of his video tour around the Guadeloupe Islands.

Monfret, who rose to fame in the modeling and music fields, is a DJ and frequent international model.

He filmed five episodes of the travelogue miniseries last year for the Guadeloupe Islands. The new seven-episode series is part of what the Guadeloupe Islands Tourist Board is calling its “Guadeloupe Islands, Naturally Active” campaign.

“In season one I wanted to give Americans a taste of our five islands and to inspire them to discover the natural beauty of my home,” Monfret said. “In Season two we delve in the real Guadeloupe Islands, not just sharing how I enjoy the islands, but more importantly how other Guadeloupeans live and experience our beautiful lands and vibrant culture.”

This season, Caribbean Journal Travel Editor Sarah Graves-Gabbadon, aka JetSetSarah, will be joining Monfret on his tour with a focus on shopping in the archipelago.

The preview shows Monfret in scenes as varied as the jungle of Basse-Terre, the harbour in Terre-de-Haut and celebrating carnival.

The first episode will be released May 9.
