Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina met Tuesday with Puerto Rican music star Marc Anthony.
The two sides discussed the orphanage in the country which Anthony is sponsoring in La Romana called “Children of Christ,” and how they might form a partnership to support it.
“We talked about the orphanage and how [Medina] can contribute and help,” Medina said.
Anthony said Medina “left us an open communication channel.”
“What you need, we’re here at your service,” Anthony said of Medina. “That means a lot to me. He have us his word and we will see if we return soon to see things.”
Anthony was joined at the National Palace by producer Henry Cardenas and agent Bigram Zayas.
Anthony inaugurated the orphanage on April 2; it aims to house homeless children in the Dominican Republic between the ages of 0 and 16.
