Cuban Ambassador to St Kitts and Nevis Jorge Payret Zubiaur has completed his term in the twin-island federation.

Zubiaur, Cuba’s resident ambassador in St Kitts, will officially depart in a few days.

“Our systems of government, our different agendas, our mandates, carried out with full respect despite our different systems of government is an indication that can truly be great friends,” Prime Minister Dr Denzil Douglas said.

“As you move on to another station to pursue your duties, we wish you well,” Douglas told the Cuban envoy, who thanked Douglas and the government for its “support and friendship.”

“I want to thank you and your country in particular for the assistance that I especially, have had here,” Zubiaur told Douglas. “You always have had an answer to my questions and demands.”
