Grenada Launches 2013 Sailing Circuit

Grenada’s Sailing Week Camper & Nicholsons Race Series began Thursday to kick off the major sailing season in the country.

The first series, which lasts through Feb. 5, consists of four days of competitive racing as part of the Southern Caribbean Regatta Circuit.

Also next week, Grenada launches its Grenada Sailing Festival Heritage Work Boat Regatta, which features boats used for fishing from all over the island taking part in Le Mans-style races.

The South Grenada Regatta launches Feb. 21, including three major races with five categories.

Finally, The Carriacou Regatta sets sail this summer, beginning July 28, featuring races to Grenada and to Union Island and Bequia in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
