The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club has broken ground in the Dominican Republic.
The project is the result of a strategic alliance between Grupo Puntacana and Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
“We are excited to be financing the construction of the Westin Puntacana Resort & Club,” said Frank Ranieri, president and CEO of Grupo Puntacana, in a release. “Our investment reflects our confidence in the continued international demand for exceptional travel experiences in the Dominican Republic.”
The five-star resort property will have 204 rooms. It will be located in the Playa Blanca area of Puntacana Resort & Club, a few minutes away from the Punta Cana International Airport.
It will feature an outdoor pool, a cigar bar, 16 suites and a Six Senses Spa, among other amenities.
