Montserrat has unveiled the first draft of its Information and Communication Technology plan, with the first review coming last week by a consulting team from the Caribbean Telecommunications Union.

The three-person team, which was led by Nigel Cassimir, CTU’s Telecommunications Specialist, discussed the elements in the plan, which came around a theme called “Montserrat in a Digital World: Green, Connected and Thriving.”

The ICT strategy was developed to support Montserrat’s sustainable development plan.

Recommendations from the national committee will be adopted into the second revision of the plan before it is submitted to the cabinet within the next two months.
